University Housing Project
Energy Star Program
Estimated Project Cost: $1,250,000
Project Description
Under this project, 15 university housing facilities (2.8 million square feet) were evaluated for energy consumption and conservation. Many potential upgrades were proposed and recommendations made which, if implemented, are projected to provide roughly $260,000 in energy cost savings per year. This evaluation included building lighting retrofits, a tune-up program, and 23 systems upgrade projects ($670,000 in estimated project costs) that will reduce energy consumption.
