CEILING REPLACEMENT
UM TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Estimated Project Cost: $260,000

Project Description

The project involved detailed design, bid process, and construction management for a ceiling replacement project at the Transportation Research building at the University of Michigan. The existing suspended tile ceiling in the corridors on levels 1-4 was replaced with a lay-in ceiling, improving maintenance access, containment of mechanical and electrical systems, and overall appearance. The project also included the replacement of out-of-date incandescent downlights with architectural fluorescent fixtures, as well as the installation of a new cable tray to accommodate growing computing needs.
