UM MEDICAL SCIENCE RESEARCH BUILDINGS III HYDROCONSTANT PUMP REPLACEMENT
Estimated Project Cost: $46,700
Project Description
The Hydroconstant Pump Replacement project involved
design to replace pumps equipped with hydroconstant speed drives with pumps
controlled by variable frequency drives. Hydroconstant speed drive pumps can
be inefficient to operate when connected to once-thru city water for cooling,
and replacing these units resulted in an annual savings of $8,300 by reducing
water and sewer consumption.
