GROUNDWINDS BUILDING CONTROLS
Project Description
The groundwinds building controls project is a ground-based
Lidar system used to measure tropospheric and lower stratospheric winds. Process
Results provided planning, design, installation and startup of controls for
auxiliary instrument and building utilities. The facility featured a Programmable
Logic Controller with a graphical computer interface. The interface integrated
instrument power controls, laser tuning interface, laser shutter operation,
video surveillance system, dome rotation, telescope rotation and dome shutter
operation.
