Project Description
The Data Center AC Upgrade project involved the
planning, design, installation and startup of two new Computer Room Air Conditioning
(CRAC) units to the existing Data Center at the University of Michigan. These
additional CRAC units were required to ensure that the data center space temperature
could be maintained at the desired set point. This project also involved connecting
these new AC units to the emergency power source.
Scope of Work
- Installation of two (2) new Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units.
- Installation of a new dry-cooler on roof.
- Installation of glycol piping between CRAC units and dry-cooler.
- Connecting existing emergency power to new CRAC units and dry-cooler.
