Project Description
The Chiller Plant Modifications project involved
the investigation and modification of four (4) absorption chillers with a
total capacity of 3,340 tons. The existing chiller system was operating substantially
below the original design specifications, which resulted in insufficient cooling
capacity for the facility.
Scope of Work
- Investigation and evaluation of the steam/condensate system, chillers,
pumps, cooling towers and control system
- Recommendation and cost estimate for proposed modifications
- Steam system modifications and control system upgrade to increase chiller
efficiency and monitor performance
