Chilled Water System Upgrade Study

The project involved the planning of long-term equipment repair and replacement for a 16,000-ton chilled water system at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Recommendations were generated for sequencing equipment replacement considering installed, maintenance and operating costs, equipment age, refrigerant phase-out, and future load changes. This task required the application of lifecycle metrics, refrigeration regulations, and operating profiles to generate a complete cash flow analysis of various alternatives.
